STUDIO DARLENE BROWN

Meet the Visionary Behind the Designs

Darlene's formative years were spent in the Entertainment Capital of the World, Las Vegas, Nevada. There, she learned to appreciate the audacious and brazen nature of the city and its ability to provide excitement and intrigue. The bold escapism inspired her to create memorable architectural spaces. She received a BS from Arizona State University and a Master's in Architecture from the University of California, Los Angeles. These institutions galvanized Darlene’s distinctive design process and imbued her repertoire.

Crafting Luxury Experiences in Architecture & Design

Darlene began her career with Gensler, a world-class architecture firm in Los Angeles, California. Opportunities included hospitality, airports and transportation projects. After years with Gensler, she moved into a leadership role at the design studio of Kelly Wearstler. Darlene's passion for interior design intensified while developing a series of luxury Viceroy Hotel & Resort projects with Kelly’s studio. During her tenure, she produced projects globally, which led to a Principal position with Chicago-based firm Simeone Deary Design Group. After three years of creating urban hotels and specialty restaurants, Darlene relocated to South Florida, making it the base for her studio. Her love for the area grew while overseeing hospitality and multi-family residential projects in Miami and the Caribbean.

Working with large hotel brands like Four Seasons, St Regis, and Sands Corporation showcased Darlene's unique ability to bridge architecture and interiors. Her design process embraces every opportunity with cleverness and delivers a tailored project for each client.
